DCKK is owned and operated by Laura Harris.

Laura is a 2nd degree black belt (Nidan) and is the dojo’s head instructor. Laura has taught classes at DCKK for the past 10 years and has an extensive teaching and coaching background in martial arts and other individual and team sports. As a primary school educator, Laura brings a wealth of information and experience to the classes.

Laura has competed in full knock down kumite (fighting) as well as Kata (forms) divisions in Alberta and BC. Laura also traveled to Japan in November of 2015 to take in the 12th World Open Karate Tournament and train at Mount Mitsumine.

Laura is a fully certified Judge for the IKOK-C.
